The Practice of Inner Ease

The coherence of heart with mind

Our mind, without being tethered to our heart region is like a long run on sentence. It just goes and goes and goes working to find solutions, meaning, resolutions, conflict, circling back. When the mind is connected to the brain of the heart, we can connect to our higher self, our soul self, and the information available within the records of time.

We're programmed to believe that we shouldn't be too emotional, that our attention should be focused on rational thought, logical analysis and predictable outcomes. Yet, this rationalism can take us further away from the heart of what mostly matters.

Coherence is a byproduct of nature. Nature operates within a choreographed method of harmony, chords, and photons. Light, vibrance, and frequency gives rise to the organizing principles of a balanced nature. We can refer to it as the Feng Shui of life.

When we practice pulling energy from the mind to the heart, and you can do this just by moving your hand from the top of your head toward your heart, placing your hand gently over your heart, and taking a deep, relaxing breath, you invariably trigger the heart awareness.

When we open the heart center, this activation allows for deeper messages to be received, it allows for greater clarity and peace in thinking about possibilities, and we can do this in a state of calm.

With the many people I work with, many decisions are made out of lower states of fear, such as anxiety or depression. Typically, decisions made from a lower state of "not having" will shut down and limit options. We simply can't see many directions from this state.

Using the inner ease mantra is a great way to activate coherence and gently slide into a calmer state of being. While in this position, we can use our breath and teach ourselves what true emotional safety feels like. Feel free to try this!

Just find a comfortable place to sit. Take a few cleansing deep breaths. Remember to push out your lower belly on your in breath, and gently exhale pulling your lower stomach toward your back. On your in breath, you want to feel like your lifting up and out, and on your out breath, pulling in and downward. Now, on the in breath say, Inner ease." Notice by saying this how you begin to feel. Begin to to observe your body relaxing as it understands the language of emotional safety.

Practice for 5 minutes or longer. Embrace inner ease through heart coherence and see how this changes the way you think and feel
